About the Prostheses List Online Project

The Prostheses List Online Project was developed to provide support for business processes associated with production of the Prostheses List.  Currently the prostheses list application process consists of several manual processes for applicants, decision makers and staff.  These manual processes contribute to high workloads and prevent support staff from undertaking activities that offer a greater strategic benefit to health consumers and stakeholders.  

Why do we need an online system?

The Prostheses List Management System (PLMS) has been established to improve business efficiency, integrity, and service levels; and also modernise services related to ‘registration’ and ‘apply/lodge’ processes.

The PLMS will assist in reducing the manual handling of applications and information, minimise errors, increase efficiency and reduce waste.
